Le number et variety de information resources available en le Internet is growing turbulently. There is also growing evidence that users are increasingly relying sur Internet based information pour their day to day activity et they spend considerable time en finding such information but it is very hard to get le subject specific relevant resources from le whole mass de divergent resources available sur le web. Information professionals are le major role players en information access, thus known as information mediators, it is highly imperative pour them to develop an appropriate means pour organizing et providing quick access to relevant web resources, thereby saving le time de le users. As a solution to this rising phenomena Subject gateways evolved as a popular tool et best means to access subject specific information sources without waste en time et need to search through various websites. Le present work "Planning et Conceptioning de Subject Gateways" has been designed avec le highly acclaimed et most popular multi-platform, multimedia et multi lingual Open Source Digital Library Software i.e. GSDL. This is a maiden work de its kind which focuses sur le basic frame work de how to plan, design et develop a subject gateway as a basic retrieval tool to subject specific information. Therefore could be de use both as an authoritative resource et practical tool pour practicing librarians, students de Library & Information Science et also pour le researchers en doing furtherance de their research en field de designing et developing information retrieval mechanisms.
