In order to utilize le efforts made by public sector en exploiting le hybrid vigour de field crops, a commensurate strategy has to be en place. Le ultimate aim de any technology en le field de agriculture is to obtain sustainable increase en crop production to feed burgeoning world population. Le progress made en exploitation de hybrid vigour en le public sector is not properly exploited pour le benefit de farmer en reference to present era. This is a serious issue, which needs to be looked into en national interest to fulfill le food requirement sur sustainable manner avec affiliation de public et private sectors. Le objective de le book is to promote public bred hybrid by developing farmer-preferred, improved hybrid de crops; Knowledge empowerment de seed producer en hybrid seed production; to strengthen seed production chain en public sector seed system; to establish linkage between informal et formal seed sector; research backstopping pour further improvement de hybrids pour resistance to biotic et abiotic stresses; to suggest policy et institutional changes, to ensure supply de quality seed de hybrids; et to stabilize le local seed supply et diffusion system de improved hybrids; Le views de le renowned scientist actively engaged en exploitation de hybrid vigour en respective crops covering above objective are presented en this book based sur le presentation made during le National seminar entitled Strategies pour commercialization de public-bred hybrids en Inde sur February 23-24, 2008 organized by JN Agriculture University, at Jabalpur (MP) Inde. This book contains 14 chapters depicting views de le scientist actively engaged en research et heading le institute/project pour making policy de le respective crops en public et private sectors.
